Volume Calculators

Pick a solid to find its volume and surface area, drawn to scale as an isometric figure you can edit. Click any dimension on a drawing to change it and watch the result update.

About these calculators

Each tool takes the measurements that define its solid and returns the volume, the surface area and the properties that matter for that shape — slant heights, diagonals, lateral areas and diameters. Every figure is an orthographic isometric projection drawn to the proportions you enter, with CAD-style dimension lines, so the picture always matches the numbers.

Volumes and surface areas use exact formulas, with one exception: the ellipsoid's surface area has no closed elementary form and uses a close approximation. Switch between millimetres, centimetres, metres, inches or feet at any time, and choose how many decimal places to show.
